Mr. Kamil Strzępek, PhD (Faculty of Law and Administration) at the Catholic University of Cordoba in Argentina

We encourage you to get acquainted with the report of Kamil Strzępek, PhD (Faculty of Law and Administration) from his academic internship under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching programme at the Catholic University of Cordoba in Argentina.

From June 3 to 7, 2024, I had the pleasure of completing an academic internship as part of the Erasmus Staff Mobility for Teaching program at the Catholic University of Cordoba (Universidad Católica de Córdoba) in Argentina. Cordoba is the second largest city in Argentina in the province of the same name. The Catholic University of Cordoba is the first private university in Argentina, founded in 1956. The unit that hosted me was the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences (Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales), and the host of my stay was the Dean of this faculty, Prof. Julieta Gallino. One of the most interesting experiences, apart from scientific ones, was learning about the customs of the teacher-student relationship. I had the impression that at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the Catholic University of Cordoba, the emphasis is not only on teaching but also on upbringing, shaping students and their attitudes.

Additionally, the visit was in a warm atmosphere, which I liked very much. In addition to meetings with academic teachers faculty and university authorities, I had the opportunity to conduct classes on human rights and European law. Students of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the University of Cordoba were eager to learn how European international organizations such as the European Union and the Council of Europe function. It is also impossible not to mention the employees of the International Cooperation Office of the University of Cordoba, who took care of me from the moment I arrived until my departure and accompanied me for most of my stay in this city.

I will remember my stay very well, and the good atmosphere will perhaps result in the signing of further cooperation agreements between the universities of Cordoba and UKSW.
