On October 29, 2024, as part of the NAWA Direction@UKSW! Project aimed at enhancing the internationalization of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW) through comprehensive support for foreign students and staff, Adaptation Workshops were held for students from Ukraine and Belarus beginning their studies at UKSW.
The meeting was led by Dr. Vira Neszew, Head of the Polish Language and Culture School for Foreigners, and Mr. Marcin Miłko, M.A., from the Faculty of Humanities at UKSW. During the session, students were introduced to basic information about life in Poland and navigating the university environment.
The presentation included profiles of famous Poles and their achievements. Students were also introduced to the conventions of correspondence in the Polish language. A lecture was held on how to appropriately address various university staff members.
In practical sessions, students had the opportunity to write motivation letters and formal applications. Additionally, they were informed about the forms of support available to international students.
