On Monday, June 9, the Erasmus Awards Gala took place – a special event celebrating the experiences of international students at UKSW as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
The event brought together students, coordinators, and university staff to collectively celebrate achievements, memories, and the engagement of our international community in academic and cultural life.
Participants had the opportunity to vote in special surveys and select winners in various categories:
- The Best Academic Performance – Aronne Piccardo, University of Genova
- The Best Cultural Ambassador – Chiara Barana, Universita degli Studi di Verona
- The Best Erasmus Buddy – Emir Kilinc, Yalova University
- The Most Engaged in Local Activities – Aura Pop Babes, Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca
- Erasmus Spirit Award – Francisco Lima, Universidade de Coimbra
- Polish Language Master – Gabriele Marmiroli, Universita degli Studi di Torino
- Pierogi Lover of the Year – Enes Caglar, Bayburt Üniversitesi
- Social Media Star – Beyza Geongru, Ağri İbrahim Çeçen University
- Community Builder Award – Mustafa Fatih Ak, Ağri İbrahim Çeçen University
Awards were also presented to Erasmus+ departmental coordinators at UKSW who received the highest number of votes from international students:
- The Most Helpful Departmental Coordinator – Dr Marlena Kilian, Faculty of Education
- Outstanding Mobility Support – Dr Bartłomiej Dźwigała, Faculty of Historical Sciences
- Excellence in International Communication – Dr Piotr Sieniawski, Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences
