Hi! My name is Monika, and I study Family Studies at the Department of Family Studies at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW).
The last two months I spent interning at the Family Research Centre at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan – and I can honestly say that these were the best two months of my life!
It was a time full of kindness, warmth, and inspiration. I had the opportunity to work among outstanding researchers and students from all over the world, gaining an immense amount of knowledge, new perspectives, and skills. And most importantly – I returned to Poland with a big new project that I decided to bring to our university!
Starting in October, UKSW students will be able to take part in the first Teen STAR sex education course, taught by Italian tutors – this is the greatest outcome of my journey, but not the only one. I also gained new friendships, unforgettable memories, new skills, and… a stomach full of pizza!
Erasmus is something that can’t be fully described – it has to be experienced.
If you’re still wondering – don’t hesitate for a second. It’s an experience that shapes, enriches, and stays with you for life. Fill out the paperwork, pack your suitcase, and get on that plane!
