Erasmus+ ClimateAMBASSADORS: Supporting digital innovation, green transition and civic engagement in HE through interdisciplinary living labs to fight climate change and promote sustainable development
The ClimateAMBASSADORS project will develop and deliver high-quality lifelong learning in climate education for HE institutions. It creates a course for students (ECTS) and develops immersive XR simulations of climate disasters (floods, fires). The project boosts digital and green skills, encourages civic engagement, and fosters innovative, practical learning to prepare future climate ambassadors.
- HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS who may be studying in relevant fields (e.g. environmental sciences, geography) or are
interested for environmental education/ climate change awareness acknowledging their key role as GREEN AMBASSADORS and ACTIVE CITIZENS and feel the responsibility to support their communities/regions to prevent or deal. with environmental disasters. They will be IMPACTED with new skills and knowledge as per the EU Green/Life/DigiCOMP Frameworks, through their participation in the modularized accredited courses earning ECTS credits towards their degrees, as well as, via their attendance at the ClimateAMBASSADORS Living Labs supporting their HEI regions.
ACADEMICS, PROFESSORS, LECTURERS, RESEARCHERS, EDUCATORS AND OTHER HE PROFESSIONALS (e.g. Student Advisors, Officers, CSR Officer, Social Services) with relevant expertise/experience or interest who can have an influential role in shaping students’ attitudes and actions towards climate change and civic activation. They will be IMPACTED with new competences to enhance their PROFILES by being involved in the development of the accredited course, enrich their DIGITAL TOOLS/RESOURCES with new XR simulations to upgrade their TEACHING and benefit from the CROSS-BORDER COLLABORATION to exchange best practices and to introduce NEW COURSES for students.
LOCAL/REGIONAL COMMUNITIES (e.g. municipalities, institutions, local centres, NGOs, rescue teams, official civil bodies) and other STAKEHOLDERS to support the initiative of partners, building synergies and utilize resources for raising awareness about climate change. such as the e-HUB portal and e-DASHBOARD, to drive climate awareness and synergies for collective action
