PROM SHORT-TERM ACADEMIC EXCHANGE
Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw has received funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) in the amount of PLN 953,800.00 to implement the project under the program titled PROM – Short-Term Academic Exchange – 2025 Call.
The objectives of the project are:
- To internationalize UKSW through short-term scholarship exchanges for students, doctoral candidates, and academic staff from Poland and abroad.
- To develop the skills and competencies of students, doctoral candidates, and academic staff from Poland and abroad through participation in short-term international scholarship exchanges.
- To enhance the quality of education through short-term exchanges of students, doctoral candidates, and academic staff from Poland and abroad.
- To increase the number of completed short-term mobilities. Project participants receive a scholarship as well as lump-sum funds to cover travel and subsistence costs, and funds for participation in conferences.
The amount of travel and subsistence funds depends on the destination country. The rates are available in the Appendix to the Recruitment Regulations.
The project will also cover the actual costs of conference fees, trainings, courses, etc., for selected candidates. The maximum reimbursement may reach PLN 1,000.
It is planned that 103 UKSW participants will receive full funding for a short-term stay at a selected institution, and 54 places will be available for participants coming from foreign institutions.
The mobilities are primarily intended to facilitate the improvement of skills and qualifications and to help establish international academic contacts, which may lead to joint research projects and publications.
The purpose of mobility may include:
- Acquiring materials for a doctoral dissertation or scientific article;
- Participation in courses, workshops, conferences, or other short educational programs;
- Conducting teaching activities;
- Performing archival or library research;
- Participating in the preparation of an international grant application.
All mobility stays must be completed no later than 30.09.2026.
The PROM program is funded by the European Union under the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027.
The program is financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange using European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027.
Within the framework of short-term mobility, the project has planned 103 places for participants as follows:
- 68 UKSW students traveling to selected countries: Italy, Malta, Moldova, Peru;
- 40 students coming from Italy, Moldova, and Malta;
- 13 doctoral candidates traveling to Peru, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Slovenia, Spain, Austria;
- 22 UKSW academic staff traveling to the United Kingdom, Tanzania, Lithuania, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Austria, Greece, France, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, Iceland, and Hungary;
- 14 foreign academic staff visiting UKSW from Turkey, Romania, Slovakia, Italy, Portugal, Spain.
Funding will be awarded to candidates who, among other criteria:
- Intend to improve their skills or qualifications at a foreign academic institution;
- Have scientific, teaching, and/or organizational achievements;
- Have knowledge of English (or the language of the destination country) at a minimum B1 level.
