Strengthening research cooperation, developing joint international projects, and expanding opportunities for student and academic staff mobility were among the key objectives of the visit to UKSW by Prof. Andrés Barba Vargas, Vice Rector for Engagement with the External Environment and International Affairs at Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP) in Mexico.
The main part of the visit was a meeting with Rev. Prof. Waldemar Graczyk, Vice Rector of UKSW for Research and International Cooperation, and Aleksandra Zając, Director of International Relations. The meeting focused on opportunities to further develop cooperation between the two universities and identify areas for future joint initiatives.
The discussions covered a range of topics, including research cooperation, joint international projects, and opportunities to expand student and academic staff mobility. The participants also explored further ways of strengthening links between the academic communities of UKSW and UPAEP and creating new opportunities for collaboration.
An important next step in developing relations between the two universities will be the signing of a cooperation agreement between UKSW and UPAEP. The agreement will establish a formal framework for joint activities in research and education, academic mobility, and international projects.
