On 5 October 2026, the first Adaptation Evening for students with special needs was held, organized by the UKSW Accessibility Centre. The event was also attended by the UKSW International Cooperation Office, which presented opportunities to participate in international mobility programmes under Erasmus+.
The meeting provided an opportunity to introduce students to the possibilities of studying and undertaking traineeships abroad, as well as the forms of support available to students with special needs. The International Cooperation Office emphasized that the Erasmus+ programme should be accessible to all students and that individual needs should not be a barrier to gaining international experience.
Participants learned, among other things, about the possibility of receiving additional support related to participation in international mobility and where to find information and assistance when preparing for their mobility.
“We want every UKSW student, regardless of their individual circumstances and needs, to have the opportunity to benefit from the Erasmus+ programme and gain experience abroad. Our aim is not only to provide information about the opportunities available, but also to support students at every stage of preparing for their mobility – from making the decision to go abroad to completing their mobility,” emphasizes the Director of the UKSW International Cooperation Office.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Mr Michał Stańczuk, Head of the UKSW Accessibility Centre, for inviting us to participate in the event and for our cooperation in increasing the accessibility of international educational opportunities for UKSW students.
The cooperation between the International Cooperation Office and the Accessibility Centre is an important element in building an open and accessible university that enables all students to benefit from opportunities for development in an international academic environment.
