Report from the mobility of Kamil Strzępek, PhD from Faculty of Law and Administration, at University of Osnabrück
In June 2023 I had a great plasure to participate in Erasmus+ programme for academic teachers – Staff Mobility for Teaching.
My mobility took place at the Faculty of Law of University of Osnabrück in northwestern Germany. The University, founded in 1974, is a young, vibrant research centre, which is famous for research and teaching, among others, in the field of law.
The unit that hosted me during my stay was European Legal Studies Institute, which provides research on European Union law, the legal orders of the European Union member countries and the mutual relations between these two levels.
During my stay I was providing lectures on human rights and comparative constitutional law.
Big pleasure for me was participating in a doctoral seminar led by prof. Oliver Dörr – the dean of faculty of law of hiosted University. During the seminar I gave a short presentation. Moreover, I was honoured of giving the university-wide guest lecture entitled „Cyberspace as a challenge to International Law”.
Oportunity of comparison the way classes are conducted in Germany and in Poland was undoubtly huge advantage of my mobility. Me and academic staff of the University of Osnabrück could exchange experiences in this matter. Convenient location of Osnabrück also allowed me to visit nearby cities of Münster and Brema.
