Report by Kamil Strzępek (The Faculty of Law and Administration) from his academic internship as part of the CEEPUS programme at the J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek
From May 18 to May 26, 2024, I had the pleasure of completing an academic internship as part of the CEEPUS program (Central European University Exchange Program) at the J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek. The university is one of the oldest and largest universities in Croatia with approximately 20,000 students. The unit that hosted me was the Faculty of Law – picturesquely located in a beautiful tenement house in the city centre, and the host of my stay was Prof.Dunja Duić – Vice-Dean for International Cooperation at the Faculty of Law of the hosted University.
In addition to meetings with academic teachers and faculty authorities, I was asked to lead, among others: a doctoral seminar on the topic: “Using judicial practice as a tool for advanced scientific research: Applications and tactics”, which was an exciting experience.
I will remember my stay in Osijek very well! The result of my mobility may be the signing of an agreement between the universities of J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek and Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw as part of the Erasmus programme.
