On September 11, 2024, as part of the NAWA project Direction@UKSW! Development of UKSW’s internationalization through comprehensive support for foreign students and academic staff, a training session for UKSW staff was held titled “Promoting the University Abroad – Strategies for Attracting Students.” The training was attended by employees from the International Relations Department, the Communication and Promotion Office, and the Recruitment Office.
The program covered topics such as the conditions of international marketing, presenting the university’s offer abroad (current trends in social media, communication with Generation Z), direct marketing, legal aspects of recruiting foreign students, the recognition of education qualifications, visa policy in relation to university promotion, as well as recruitment marketing – including what to prepare students for, recruitment systems, welcome and onboarding tools, and many other subjects.
The training was led by Mr. Mieczysław Pakosz, an expert who has been professionally involved in recruiting international candidates and foreign promotion for 9 years at the Office of International Cooperation at the University of Łódź. The session took the form of a mini-lecture, discussion, and exchange of best practices.
The Project funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange under the Welcome to Poland Programme (2022).
