On September 29th 2023 a Welcome Meeting for the Erasmus+ Students was held.
At the beginning, the Director of the International Relations Department spoke, who on behalf of the University welcomed all students and introduced the UKSW Welcome Centre team, which includes: Ms. Paula Prażmowska as Welcome Centre Coordinator, Ms. Anna Budzyńska-Sieczkowska as Incoming Students Coordinator, and Ms. Danuta Kosińska as Welcome Centre Team Member. Then, the Incoming Students Coordinator, Ms. Anna Budzyńska-Sieczkowska, presented the meeting plan and information about the organization of education at our University.
There was a tour of the Wóycickiego Campus – students had the opportunity to see the library, Dean’s Offices, sport hall, the Chapel, the Medical Faculty and the Monoprofile Medical Simulation Center, University Kindergartten, bus stops and were provided with tips on how to get around the campus.
In second part of the meeting, Ms. Danuta Kosińska presented to the students the idea of Welcome Centre, issues related to the legalization of stay in Poland, as well as the plan of events for the near future. She also informed that the UKSW Welcome Centre is a friendly place for students and lecturers from abroad, facilitating good adaptation at the University and in Poland.
In the last part of the meeting representatives of Erasmus Student Network UKSW Association spoke. We ended the meeting with lunch at the unversity canteen where students could try traditional Polish pierogi 😊 The meeting was very positively received by the students, who, as they said, were impressed by the hospitality and kindness of our staff 😊
Most students came to us from Italy, Spain and Turkey. We also host students from Germany, France, Slovakia, Portugal as well as from Mexico, Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.
