“Merry Christmas, Everyone” – the lyrics of this popular festive song will stay in the hearts of our international students and volunteers for a long time.
On December 6, 2023, the International Christmas Meeting was held. The meeting was organized by the UKSW Welcome Center and ESN UKSW. At the beginning, the UKSW Welcome Center Coordinator, Mrs Paula Prażmowska, welcomed all participants and presented the meeting’s programme. Then we discussed Polish holiday customs. International students presented the Christmas traditions of their countries (Italy, France, Colombia, Mexico, and Nigeria). Mrs Paula Prażmowska and Mrs Danuta Kosińska from the UKSW Welcome Center presented the custom of sharing the Christmas wafer and extended their warmest Christmas wishes to all participants. Students had the opportunity to share the wafer among themselves. The UKSW Welcome team also conducted Christmas karaoke. In the end, participants went to the Old Town for an integration in the atmosphere of Christmas illuminations.
We would like to thank all volunteers directly involved in organizing the meeting (Welcome Ambassadors, ESN UKSW Members and Mentors) for their help, as well as students, without whom this meeting could not take place.
